Overview

A Light Inside Publishers is a pioneering nonprofit publishing house based in Modesto, California, dedicated to providing a platform for authors with lived experience of neurodivergence to share their stories of mental illness and recovery. We curate and promote fiction, poetry, graphic novels, and biographies – offering a vital resource for both writers and readers seeking authentic representation and destigmatization.

By compiling a virtual library of these diverse perspectives, we aim to demystify psychiatric disorders, serve as a valuable resource for social science researchers, and foster a more inclusive understanding of mental health challenges. Our mission is to amplify voices, celebrate resilience, and contribute to a world where neurodivergent experiences are recognized and valued.
