Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council (CACRC)

Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council (CACRC) is a Louisiana-based nonprofit organization dedicated to responsible e-waste recycling and technology access. Since 1996, CACRC has been a leading force in reducing electronic waste destined for landfills, diverting over 1,632,412 pounds of e-waste annually. We provide secure data destruction services, certified to R2 standards, ensuring compliance with stringent data security regulations, including NIST 800-88R1 and DOD 5520.22-M.

Furthermore, CACRC refurbishes and distributes computers to families, seniors, veterans, and non-profits through our Computers for Louisiana Families program, offering discounted devices with a one-year hardware warranty. CACRC’s commitment extends to community support, having spearheaded hurricane relief efforts and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by distributing essential technology.
