Women's Healing and Empowerment Network (WHEN)

Women’s Healing and Empowerment Network (WHEN) is a vital first-line response to ending violence against women, men, and children in Spokane, Washington. Established in 2008, WHEN provides a comprehensive suite of programs and services designed to heal and empower individuals, families, and communities impacted by domestic violence, sexual abuse, and related issues. We offer a holistic approach, combining education, counseling, and direct support through centers like Frieda’s Healing Center, Ellen’s Place, and the YADDA Hope Center. Furthermore, WHEN actively addresses food insecurity through Cleone’s Closet, a food pantry and resource center, and champions youth empowerment through the YADDA scholarship program. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, WHEN relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to continue its critical work, fostering a safer and more supportive environment for all. We are dedicated to providing resources and support to both victims and offenders, promoting accountability and ultimately, creating lasting change. Our commitment extends to supporting religious and secular organizations in establishing preventative policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable populations.
